I've been busy creating. I'm working so hard to make my shop on Etsy (www.itsybitsybabies.etsy.com) a success. Okay, well I've been looking around on the website a lot, seeing what other people are making, posting threads in the forums and wasting a lot of time. But I still look at it as a business endeavor. I'm so tired with all these kids I have that just to take out the equipment to make a blanket is like this overwhelming task. Once it's all out I'm fine and happy to be able to create but then the tiny box of a room feels really cramped and it gets messy and that makes me absolutely crazy and then it's just not happy anymore. I am really whacked out here.
But I actually got out of the house today and spent time at a fabric store and bought fabric, tangible fabric that I could see and touch and not just "click" through like I usually do online.
I think someday (soon!) I may have a bigger house and I will have my own space (even if it's just a walk-in closet--a walk-in closet would be absolutely wonderful) to set up my sewing machine and my mat and rulers and fabric and patterns and ideas and all the little embellishments I need to make my creations beautiful.
And to top off my day, me and my mom were walking with the kids downtown today and came across this new shop and had to go in. It drew us in with its whimsical sign and really cool furniture and assorted beauties in the window. It turns out this lady just opened the shop and is so creative and artsy and fun and nice and she buys stuff from other people! I could be one of those people. She just emailed me and looked at my Etsy stuff and loves it!
I am so excited now. Finally, things are coming together for me. I started my love of quilting a little over eight years ago when I was pregnant with Tatum and I haven't turned back.

What store is it? I want to go! there's a new one in downtown Bristol I've been dying to go in for a while too, on Thames street near S.S. Dion.
